I have known Jared for several years and hs is definitely one of my favorite people! Always upbeat, funny and just a sweet guy. So, when he called me to ask that I take he and his fiance’s engagement images, I was elated!!
Since they have a “Motown” theme for their wedding we decided to hit several “icons” of Detroit to capture a piece of Detroit for their big event. We had lots of fun and got some great images!
I had the most FUN shoot with Ericka! She wanted to do a personal photo shoot and because she is so adventurous (I’ve shot her before) and has such a “let’s do it” attitude, I had the perfect place for her…. an alley.

LOL! So, just trust me…. alleys offer the most interesting and ,ahem, urban scenes and backdrops for images! I love the juxtopositon of the funky and harsh against the pretty and dainty. If anyone could pull off making an alley look interesting, it’s Ericka!
So, can you BELIEVE this woman has 3 kids???? No, neither could I when I met her! But she has three wonderful boys, one of whom just went off to college! I did a “mom & son” shoot for them as well, so those pics are forthcoming too!

Will, Rosie, Mallory & Sade. The Childs Family! I love it whenever I get the chance to capture this family! They are full of love and fun! And the OUTFITS that they pick out for the girls are sooo stylish and cool! I wish I’d had a wordrobe like THEIRS when I was their age!!!
We had a ball and unlike shoots past, we even got Mom & Dad to take a few shots!!

The bride and I actually went to the same high school and she was in one of her best friend’s weddings last year. I remember her so well, mainly because she KEPT saying “please……don’t take a picture of me” (even though she was IN THE WEDDING! LOL) So, when she saw me at a summer event last year and told me she wanted to talk about me doing HER wedding, I couldn’t have been more thrilled!
I also met her hubby to be at that time as well and KNEW I’d have a ball photographing them because he is crazy!!! He was razzing me from the FIRST time he met me, but I saw the “big ole teddy bear” that lied within
So, when the big day came, I told the bride ”I am soooooooo happy!!” She asked “why?” I said, “Because you CAN’T tell me NOT TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOU!!”….. to which she laughed and scrunched up her nose at me! No matter,…. I got my just revenge
